Elixir Biosciences is committed to fundamental research in the area of New Drug Discovery. The main platforms are Proteomics and Lead Optimization. We are using Bioinformatics and Cheminformatics tools to find, model and optimize potential lead molecules as new ligands targeted against specific protein targets.

R & D

The following R & D activities are in current pursuit at Elixir Biosciences:

 

Þ      Construction of a Database of plant based medicinal chemical entities aimed at Pharmacophore Generation

Þ       Development of a novel series of anti-malarial compounds.

Þ       Rational drug discovery in silico R & D for novel anti-cancer  compounds using CDK2, COX-2 and P-Glycoprotein as targets.

Þ       Development of control agents targeting important plant pathogens like bacterial wilt causing organisms etc.

Þ       Development of Bioinformatics tools and softwares
